Chrysanthemum Hours is part of my current series, two pieces of which were exhibited in the fiber-focused show Weave Wars at the Indianapolis Art Center in the fall of 2016.  Each piece consists of an illustrated female figure that is created with graphite on watercolor paper, cut out, and placed within a landscape created through intricate collages of stitched-together scraps of secondhand textiles. The series serves as an exploration of the fast fashion industry's effects on the natural environment.
